Arrow Hazard lights do not work but turn signals do

My hazard lights do not work. Since I don't use them very much I do not know how long they haven't been working. All turn signals & other lights & switches work just fine, though. There doesn't seem to be a fuse just for the hazard lights.

Does anyone have any ideas on where I should look next for my problem?

IIRC there is a separate flasher for them. I have also had bad switches due to all the dirt and coffee spills and such that get in there.

Thanks for the reply.

I'm a fair driveway mechanic but I am no electrician at all. Any advice on where I could find the flasher or anything else that may have gone bad?

Turn on the regular turn signals and listen for that flasher. It's under the dash and the Emergency flasher is next to it. IIRC, some have a 2 in 1 flasher unit. Other than that, pull the covers off the steering column and see if you have any broken wires.

If nothing zman said to check is the problem, it might be your turn signal switch because the flashers and turn signals are on the same switch, i have a switch that i bought new because i was having an issue and it turned out not to be the issue, ill sell it to you for 40 bucks and the dealer wanted 130. ill pay shipping as well.

I'll look for the flasher tomorrow. Thanks for the offer, tweav88. I may take you up on it.

The flasher is located on the drivers side of the dash. Open the drivers side door and look for a small pull out panal on the side of the dash. Pull that panal and there will be two flashes in it

i am having the exact same problem... my hazards do not work but my signal lights only work if the hazard lights switch is in the on position. i just bought this truck(non-certified) so due to the hazards light issue it would definitely not pass a safety... based on what you guys have posted i am guessing i am going to have to purchase a new hazard/turn signal switch

Try replacing the turn signal flasher first. It's certainly cheaper/easier.
