Default Speakers Is It Powerful Enough

I have a question my stereo in my truck pushes 50wx4 and the alpine 6x9's i want have a RMS of 75w will my stereo push them? If it matters i am only going to power 2 of them and not my 6.5'' speakers in the back.
Thanks in advance

Well the more the speakers can handle the better, just hook them up and see how they sound! It's not too hard

50X4 channels is max.. RMS for the Deck is most likely 13-23Rms I would get a small 4 Channel amp and just run all 4 of your speakers up under powering them is not really good for them... But yes it will work if you just hooked it up to the deck but your really just cheating your self out of what you paid for.. Hope this helps

The above poster pretty much covered it. If you are saying your H/U puts out 50 watts, that's max not rms. The RMS is much lower. If the speakers you want require 75 watts RMS, get an amp for them, or some different speakers that require less power. It's better to overpower speakers than it is to underpower them if you can't match the amp up perfectly. Underpowering them will cause the amp, or in this case the amp in the H/U to clip and mess up both it and the speakers.

Is there any way to give them 100w by splicing in the front positive and back positive and front and back negatives together to the same wire? because im only using the front ones my rear will be powered by a amp

I've never heard of that being done. What ohm are the speakers? If they are 4 ohm speakers then if you could bridge it they would be running @ 2 ohms- is the deck 2 ohm stable? If you can bridge the deck you still will be no where close to 100 watts RMS. Like has been said your best option is to get another amp.

Hook them up. They will be fine as long as you don't push your head unit or amp to clip. Underpowering speakers wont hurt them but overpowering them by running an underpowered head/amp unit to the point it is clipping certainly can.

No. Why not just buy speakers that will work with a regular head unit? There are tons out there that will. Are these component speakers? I wouldn't have thought so being 6x9"s, but usually regular coaxial 6x9"s don't require 75 watts rms.

There are alot of stero shops out there that install for next to nothing if you buy a small amp and the needed cables from them. but no i wouldnt try to cross your speaker power cables you will end up killing your head unit.
