Um. You don't just pour it in, and start the engine.... you feed it in slowly thru a vacuum line while the engine is running.... (careful though, easy to stall the engine.)

I did mine out by my storage unit. No houses nearby..... major friggin' smoke screen. They didn't have mosquitoes for two weeks.

your original problem sounded like mine. when i changed my intake i didnt seal it good, causing air to get sucked in and the tick tick tick noise, that sounded like a lifter. check to make sure when you replaced your plenum you sealed it good.
