Default Aftermarket Headlights & Grilles

Alright so its about time for me to redo my front end. I got the rear end all tidied up and all I have left to do is get my A/C Working and get the front fixed before I can paint the beast.

1) Has anyone bought aftermarket headlights for 94-01 dodge ram 1500 SPORT (mine is 1996) so I think the sports issue wont matter? Im looking for one that looks good and is adjustable. Ive heard mixed things about Halos and others so If you have them and love them help me out with a link and some pics!

2) What about aftermarket grilles. Ive seen some black billet ones on ebay that have slits going up and down or sideways the full way through. Thinking about one of those. I could always get a new stock one for 40$. Anyone got an suggestions?

3) A/C stopped blowing cold air about 6 years ago. I recharged it and It blew cold air for about a month then got warm again. Guess I have a leak. Would you just suggest trying these kind of products:

Or would you just have it professionally evaced/ leak tested repaired and recharged?

Thanks Guys

The AC leak is most likely the evap core in the dash. Without proper equipment it's hard to detect. I would have the system checked out, rather than put any chemicals in it.

So zman, my AC was checked charged with UV leak detect and 5oz of refrigerant. they found a small leak on the O-ring on the passenger side line (makes sense I was sitting in there to do my tune up). They also found a decent leak on the lower flange of the line going into the condenser. They suggested replacing O-rings, and the condenser, evacing the line recharging with refrigerant and leak seal. They wanted 800$. Outrageous. Not sure what I want to do now I have access to a vac pump and manifolds considering doing it myself or try the refrigerant with the stop leak if its still blowing cold AC in a week or two. Its been almost a week now and the AC still blowing ice cold. Did find out I have the wild vents now that im using the AC. Going to the dealer to get some check valves.

Those things are pretty easy to replace. You should get the Haynes AC manual and read through it. You could also go to an AC shop and have them vac the 134A out. Go home, replace and return and have them charge it.

My question is.

What is a reasonable price for JUST evacing the system and recovering refrigerant.
I got the O-rings for 6 bucks
I can get the condenser for 140-160

So i evacing all refrigerant out, bring to a buddy, replace O-rings and condenser, then charge up?

Do i have to re-evac before recharging like the service manual says?

Some places will evac for free if you are going to come back and have them charge it.

And yes, evac again before charging. You had the system opened up to replace the parts. So it needs it again.

You can still use www.tinypic.com and post pics directly to this thread. All I use now is my phone, and I've posted before
