I have the 100 watt off road lights in my truck (from autozone) , you can see the beam for more than half mile but can't see clearly. they look like good lights but they are not. the stock hellas (fogs) in my liberty have much better light ourput and are 55w. also some caterpillars we use have as stock hella light bars and when a lamp is replaced you notice the lower output

I have two hella 500 ff lights on my trucks headache rack. I like em pretty good. The only problem I had was the relay didn't work so I just cut it out. I'll try to get pics tonight and post em for you

I paid $12 off Amazon.com for these little buggers I put on my surf fishing deal, they are small, but are 55 watts and are bright as hell!!!

The switch is an "over-ride" so I can turn the lights off and still keep power to the 12v outlet I put on the thing during the day. I can still turn these lights off/on from inside the Jeep...

Thanks everyone, I'd like to see some more pics of the Hella 500ff's. Are they fog or driving? I like that rig you got on the front, that's real nifty lol. And thanks for the person who said the 100 watt autozone lights aren't that good, saved me $15 plus time.

I should have put this one in, a home-made light bar with a pair of 55w Hella 500FFs:

I believe the 500s are more of a spot and the 500FFs are more of a flood light...

Ya I've been researching the differences but it seems every site has a different opinion. I guess I'll have to call Hella.
