Hello all,

I have a 2000 Ram van 1500 with an engine light that keeps coming on. The code I got from the computer is P0753 which seems to be a problem with the solenoid circuit for the overdrive gear. When the light comes on, the tranmission goes into a "limp mode", where it is alwasy in 3rd gear. I did some googleing and have found a few other folks who have had the problem, but not much luck other than shelling out several hundred dollars to the dealership to fix it. The dealerships around here don't seem to be too interested in giving any advice - they put me on hold indefinitly, then send me to a voice mail box, which I am beginning to think belongs to the dead guy, 'cause he never calls back.

Anyway, does anyone have any advice on troubleshooting this, and ultimately fixing it?
