installed HID headlights in a 2001 dodge ram 2500 cummins, bulb type 9007-2 55w 8000k w/relay harness. i have installed HID's into a number of vehicles using the products from Http://www.vvme.com . so i have run into quite the problem with this particular vehicle after trying a direct plug and play worked until the vehicle is running. next we installed the relay harness directly connected to the battery, worked on driver side only flickered out on passenger, which doesn't make sense because the ballasts are both drawing from the same source. so alright swapped out the ballast and bulb on the passenger side and tried them again passenger side only flickered out drivers still worked perfectly. anyone have any suggestions? from capacitors to resistors, ditching the relay?

I won't even bother to go into the whole routine about how those are way to bright of HIDs in a non-HID designed housing (if stock headlamp housings), and you'll be blinding people all night long...
2001s are new enough that some have the flickering issue. If you do enough Google searching, you will come across a cheap resistor or capacitor (can't recall which at the moment) that you can put in there to stop the flickering. I did the research a few years ago, hence the memory haziness, when I first tried to convert to HIDs, before I realized the problems they create for other drivers when your housings aren't designed for them.
