Default Kool Vue Tow Mirrors for 2001 ram 2500

I just had a set of Kool Vue flip out towing mirrors installed on my 2001 Ram 2500 and on the drivers side one of the mounting studs protrudes into the interior panel where the back side of the power mirror control is located so that the panel does not fit up against the door frame like it should. It leaves about a 5/8" gap where the stud hits the back of the mirror control. The back part of the mirror control is about half the size of a roll of nickels and that stud hits it almost right in the middle. I cannot seem to find anyone who has an answer to this including the company I purchased the mirrors from. They say they will accept the return of the mirror but that is not an option now with all the money I have invest in the installation, not to mention what it would cost me to remove them again. Kool Vue cannot be contacted directly as they are only a business to business marketer. My only salvation here seems to be that at least everything seems to work OK.

Thanks for your quick reply, I am afraid that I am not computer literate enough to navigate all the passage ways of this site. It would take me days to figure out how to post to the correct sections and even more days to find my way back again. You have a very useful site but it is way too far over my head from a technical navigation point of view.
Thanks anyway.
