I was trolling threads for Info on O2 sensors. I blindly bought a pair of Bosch O2 sensors this morning before I discovered that, seemingly most, V6 & V8 engines don't do too well with
Bosch O2 sensors.

I'm set on NTK O2 sensors but no one local carries them so, Rockauto.com is the site that I'm going with but here's the problem;
rockauto.com says that the 23506 upstream is OK and that checks out with other sites that I've looked up. They also say that the 23099 downstream is compatible with my Dakota but all the other sites say that is does not. So, I'm kinda stuck.

Those of you that run NTK's; do you remember what part number of O2 sensor (FOR BOTH UP & DOWN) that you are running?

I have a manual 1998 Dodge Dakota: 3.9L V6, 4WD, Non-dual exhaust, club-cab. If you need any more Info., please do not hesitate to get a hold of me - any suggestions are welcomed.

You do know NTK/NGK has a website? According to them those numbers are right.

Maybe that's why you are having problems.

Thumbs up

Thanks for the quick replies everybody!

ZMAN17, I totally have blinders on this week or something; it didn't occur to me to check and see if NGK/ NTK had a website (normally, I do). Thanks for the heads-ups.

I wound up taking a trip to the burbs this morning to hit an Advanced Auto Parts. They had the NTK O2 sensors that I needed and the part numbers I had, matched up compatibility-wise. (Thanks KEJOBE)!

Next hurdle will be trying to crack the thread-grip loose but that will be something for me to figure out. I'll drive around a little longer tomorrow to get them hotter in hopes that they'll loosen easier. Wish me luck!

Thanks again for all your help!
