Default 3500 5.9 v8 swap to cummins

im looking at buying a 3500 dually. it currently has a 5.9lv8 with 200xxx on it and im looking to buy it and do a cummins swap in the future. what all is involved with it and can i only put a 24v cummins in it? i know its alot of work but its a project i wana accomplish.

others will chip in. but you pretty much need a donor tuck, as you will be needing alot of parts off it. and there will be alot of custom fabing...

Unless you absolutely working on trucks. It will (most likely unless you can get really really good deals) be IMO a lot cheaper and easier just to buy a cummins and mod it till you run out of money. You'll have a nicer truck, less work, and about the same cost.

Too much work and money for something that could be had for the same or lesser cost. Hell you can probably just buy a cummins and still have money to do some mods. Plus the fine nit details like a wait to start light etc etc will already be there making it more authentic. Hell if you are a good mechanic, have a lot of patience, and time, GO FOR IT!!!!
