Default Was bored so I made some Steering

Well times were slow in my shop and I needed all new steering so, I put together a crossover kit lastnight. Heres the process after the bars were already bent and bungs welded in for the heims. This started as a kit from balistic fab. 7/8 heim joints reduced to 3/4 bolts.

Wheels off.

Stock.. Take off that stock steering.

Before drilling the big 3/4 holes.

After.

Some 3/4 grade 8 bolts lock washers and nuts. All Bolted in.

Thanks to balistic fab and there crossover steering kit that came with hemis and all the washers and reducers this kit was pretty easy. Had to have a local millwright shop do some bending but other than that now i am in love. No more loose joints.

O and just incase your bored, my buddy runs his bussiness out of my shop. This is kinda what he does. Its only a compound turbo set up in a volkswagen passat wagon. haha. O yeah and All wheel drive. Just not right i tell yeah.

I would think that some thread locker, or nuts with the ny-loc inserts would be a nice insurance policy as well.

Looks good, whats total cost on that??

There is a kit out there i found the other day that is 480 or so that is very close to what i did. http://thurenfabrication.com/crossover.html as far as the nuts go, once it comes back from the alighnment shop tomarrow im red lock tighting everything, lock nuts, and a big inpact.
