Default spark plug wires

As I understand it, buy brass everything when it comes to the ignition system. So I have replaced my cap and rotor, with brass, and put in cheap champion spark plugs. I bought the wires today and online it said brass but when i got to the store they were silver (not sure the material). They are autolite professional wires and do you think I should return them and get brass ones or just return these and get my money back since I believe my original wires are fine. Thanks in advance!

They will be fine either way, but route them according to this TSB and use the die electric grease they should have come with.

So you think it's not worth it to find brass wires? And thanks for the link, mines an 01 dodge ram so does it fall into that category? It says up to 99

Brass spark plugleads? don't think you will find those. Have a look at these, they come recommended by a few here, but I have not tried them.

I've never had problems with autolites. These trucks would probably run with electrical wire I just pulled out of my 100 year old house

Alright thanks I'll install them today, also (not sure if I should start a new thread) but I had to spend $100 to get $50 off my next purchase so I decided to replace my u joints on my front driveshaft (even though it wasn't necessary). I took off the three u-joints and now I can't get the one closest to the rear of the truck back on. It's different and there is no way I can figure this out, I tried for two hours then gave up so now I'm going to take it to a shop and tell them to do it. I'd prefer to do it myself so if you have any helpful hints it will be appreciated!!!

If you are talking about the Cardan joint, you do realize that there is more to it than just the joints right. You got a cup, spring, ball and a seal. You should take it a driveshaft shop and let them do it. It's not very expensive. I did the one on my 98, but when I needed it done on the 2000, I took the shaft off, brought it in and it was less than 100 including all the parts. (spicer parts)

You have part of it done, so it really should not be very expensive.
