Default vb fixed itself????

Ive been having problems with my O/D for about 4 months now. Ive replaced all the soleniods(3 seperate O/D soleniods) and the Transducer, taken apart and cleaned the VB. Ive adjusted the TV cable a million times, and my O/D ring(the one thats prone to braking) is fine and I still couldnt get my truck to shift into O/D...that is until today. My truck starts sliping out of gear like its low on fluid. So I pulled over and checked and sure enough it was way low, so I topped it off with fresh fluid. I must of developed a front pump seal leak sometime this weekend(and before you ask I keep a good eye on my fluid levels, I check em all 1-2 times a week). well after I refill the tranny I got to drive down the highway and bam, I have O/D. Now the truck is shifting in and out of O/D with no issues what so ever... wierd huh

Fluid level may have always been your problem. It's a weird rd on the trans dipstick, part of the fluid is at an angle, then it goes straight across.

Use the straight across for the appropriate measurement.

Hope it stays working for you.

i hope it stays working 2. and trust me i know where the fluid level is supposed to be, ive already had to have the tranny rebuilt once because i over filled it, and then underfilled it. 1000 bucks teaches someone to monitor fluid levels and know where they are supposed to be lmao. im guessin that there was somethin in the O/D fluid lines i missed on my inspection of the VB that got knocked free

edit: im almost scared to drop the pan to see if theres any parts in it cuz im scared ill lose O/D again lmao
