All The Bells and Whistles?
I'm trying to figure out what my 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 Quad cab V10 4X4 came with out of the factory. I've tried looking at numbers on the diff, but theye are rusted and hard to see. I'm trying to get the right parts, but am I over 8800 lbs?Who knows?Any source of a build sheet would be helpful. Or any other source. Thank you and Please help..
8800 GVWR was the heaviest the trucks went, as far as I know. And being that it's a V10, it's either 8000 or 8800. The tag on the driver's door frame should tell you the GVWR. As far as the differential/gearing, it should have a label either under the inside of the hood or in the glove box. It should have the gear ratio on it, axle model, and wether or not you have an Anti-Spin (limited slip) in the rear end.
If you go to www.dodge.com, there is a link where you can email their customer service department. If you send them your vin, they will email you a build sheet. I got mine in a couple of days from them.
