Default 97 ram wont stay running

Bone stock 97 ram, 5.9L V8, 4x4, all stock except plus and wires, and a glasspack replacing the stock muffler.

This morning i went out to start my truck, anyways the battery was dead so the motor would barely crank, so later this afternoon i come home and put it on the battery charger, it cranked a little quicker but wouldnt start, also, my stereo was making a weird noise, this went away once i unhooked my amp (thought that might have been the problem), once it did this it cranked like normal but still wouldnt start. I tried starting it while giving it gas, and it started, but dies as soon as i let off the gas.

I replaced the plugs and plug wires this tuesday, ran fine up until today. Could it be a throttle position sensor? I dont know if these models have one or not. Could it be IAC? I dont know a thing about these.

And when i opened and closed the throttle manually, it seemed to be "floppy" i guess. It opens firm like it should, but when you let it go it flops, like the cable isnt attached to the linkage like it maybe should be. I dont know if thats how its supposed to be or not, but its info i noticed that may help. Could the throttle plates just be closing all the way and not letting the motor idle?

Ok i went back out to see if it would start, and i got it to start under its own power with out throttle, it hops up to starting rpm, falls off to 150-200 rpm, and then comes back up to normal idle, heres a video

It idles normally, and it has all the power it used to have, i just took it around the block, but when i rev it up and the revs fall back down, it dips down to about 200-300 rpms, then comes back up. Clogged cat? Loose throttle cables causing plates to be "floppy"? Or could it be that blown plenum gasket? Or the above mentioned IAC or whatnot?

Sorry about all the questions. And i still dont know about the dead battery thing, i didnt leave any lights on or anything. Could it also be a bad coil or something in the ignition?

Could be anything, but you have to eliminate the most common probs first. And loose throttle cable is not one of them.
