Plenum Done...multiple misfires
LOL..I called Monroe Muffler, and asked what they would charge to do a back pressure check on the ram. He said they don't have the equipment for that..."your best bet is to go to the dealer, they will do an infra-red reading, and a vaccum test.
I did find a vacuum gauge at a Napa a few miles away for $55.00. Just don't know if I want to pay it. I also have an infra red thermometer I brought home from the shop. How would I go about using that ?? Or should I just suck it up, and pay the $55.00..??

55 bucks for a one time test? seems a tad excessive to me..... use the IR gun that you already have. check temps at various points in front of, on, and behind the cat. If there is a significant temp difference, then I would become concerned.
Depends on how high of a temp your gun can read. I have one that goes to 500(not high enough) for when I used to race RC gas cars. Didn't work for checking the cat on my 98. So I bought the back pressure tester. Too bad you don't live near me.
I got my truck back yesterday after having the cat checked, injectors flushed, and the guy says he decided to check the plugs himself (he told me the plugs and wires were fine when this problem started...LMAO) He said they were rusted in, and the one in the back was only halfway in, and they were wrong all together. They are Champions 3436. I am hoping this has solved the problem. I have a long trip ahead me.
