alrighty guru's.. got my 99 dodge ram crying to switch his manual locks/windows with a 2000.. im going to the donor's truck on monday. he said if i do the work, i can have EVERYTHING for $20.. good deal huh? so im just wanting to know what all i need to grab.. any and all help is appreciated! thank you
Check your truck, there should be some lonely connectors in the cab-side door frames for the power accessories. If there aren't grab that harness from the donor truck as well.
Ill grab everything inside the door, wether I have it or not. But I'm mainly concerned with what's Not in the door. I looked under the dash and didnt see any lonely connectors. Where do they hook up and what not?
They hook up to the plug that's inside the rubber boot. If they are not pre wired, this isn't as easy as it seems. I suggest you look at the wiring diagrams in the FSM

looked in the FSM and can't really find anything that helps me on that.. :/
The doors will have the harnesses in them, yeah. (the doors that actually have power windows/locks) but, if the body side wiring harness isn't there, the job becomes a bit more difficult. If the connectors on the body side aren't stuffed in there somewhere, then you have to deal with that as well. Not exactly a minor undertaking.
