Wow, $200. You still need to check the plenum, if you don't, and the cat get's or is clogged, you are running the risk of getting cracked heads. Any chance you see a new looking sticker on the PCM or radiator support?

Update
Dodge dealer replaced O2 sensor and now truck runs like new. Increased MPG by .5 in the first 100 miles. No plenum problems.
So, moral of the story is that coughing, skipping, lack of power can be caused by faulty O2 sensor.

How do you know the plenum is fine? (not because they told you so I hope) And I bet you have the death flash now , if you didn't already get it the last time you were there.

You're plenum is more than likely blown, the first thing it messes up is the o2 sensor and itll do it again. You could replace it for about $100 with everything if you do it yourself and have a like new engine that'll last much longer

My last post re O2 sensor was in july 2011. From that time to oct 2012 my truck ran like a top (no plenum problems). I decided that 11 years without a new truck was enough... so i bought a 2012 Ram 1500 hemi, crew cab, big horn. This new truck is like a brand new cadillac to me and I like the extra comfort, power and doo-dads since at 74 years old I no longer desire to wrestle with the standard shift and the bumpy ride of the 2500 V10.
I will probably switch over to the Ram 1500 Hemi forum now. See ya and thanks for for everybody's input.

What are you doing to do with your old truck, and where do you live?

Congrats on the new wheels! Friend of mine has a 2012 2500... I put about 500 miles on it not so very long ago, and LOVED it. Just can't afford it.
