Default Temperature Gauge Isuue

So my temp gauge has stopped working, like the needle never comes up anymore when i'm driving the truck. I just replaced the thermostat and hoses, so i'm assuming it's an electrical problem, from the research i've done it seems like my engine coolant temperature sending unit is bad. But I have been unable to find this part on anyone's website (autozone, advance, napa). Does anyone know where I can get the sending unit or have a part number? Thanks,

You have two sending units, did you damage or pull the connector off either one while doing the tstat replacement?

The sender for the gauge is to the passenger side of the thermostat housing. Make sure it is plugged in, if it is, wiggle the connector. It will prolly start working.

And sorry, I should have mentioned which one like HeyYou said. Anyway, for that one , you want a TS-271 Standard Motor Products. On the left side as mentioned, under the Alt/Gen.

I know I had to replace one of mine when I replaced the t-stat. But also there was two sending unit's on top of my housing and only one harness for the sender's. There should be two.? One for each sending unit. right?

I hope your posting on your phone, because I don't see any info about your truck. (which btw, I/we have no idea what motor is in his truck either) For all I know, a v10 might be configured differently.

Right behind the sending unit there is a spot for another sending unit. The whole thing broke off when I replaced the t-stat. I only replaced the one that was clipped on. So I dont know if Im missing a harness that goes to it or whats going on.

You know, if you can't take 2 minutes to fill out your sig or profile for that matter, with something that says something other than

"What ever happens to be running". I'm done! I've tried to be than helpful. And that pic sucks btw, from what I can see, you have the ECT circled(or maybe that's not the ECT,and is another one). So I don't know what other sensor you are talking about. A word of advice, Start your own thread, with ALL the info about your truck in your sig, and maybe someone with a v10 (like a guy here named Veeten) or someone else with more knowledge than I about a v10 can help. Better pics, better description, better pizza. That's what were all about here. LOL
