t-stat is stuck open or missing.
replace with a Stant Super-Stat for about $10-12. get a 180 or 195, not a 160.

some people get a check engine with a 180. some don't.

Why is that? I just bought my first fail safe today. If they are not any good, I'll return it.

they fail too often.
sometimes they fail open like they are supposed to. (except way too soon).
other times they fail closed, exactly like they are not supposed to.

search on fail safe's... look at all the problems. not worth the trouble and money in my opinion. a good $10-12 Stant will last forever.

Fail Safe is endorsed by Sam Memmolo, the biggest endorsement ***** ever.
If he endorses it - don't go near it.
If he DOESN'T endorse it - its probably ok. or at least its not snake oil.

Another vote for Stant here. Been using their 180 in my truck for over a year now, no problems.
