just an update for those who care, and for those who dont, im gunna tell ya anyways...

while i had all this stuff apart i decided to paint a few things. i painted the valve covers matte black, and my plenum and the bracket that holds the alternator and a/c compressor got gloss black. i cleaned my fuel injectors, put the new o-rings on and got the plenum re-assembled. i triple checked the torque on the plenum plate so i think im good there. and i did remember the blue thread locker and used a washer under each bolt. now i wait for thursday when the odessa heads should arrive and i can hopefully put this all behind me. dont get me wrong i like working on my truck but i hate it when things turn into a nightmare when it should just be a nice little wet dream! either way i was feelin pretty ****ed up about the whole situation and now at least i feel a little better that i can see something get done even if its only a painted plenum on the floor!

While its scattered about the garage, replace the timing set as well.

You are gonna love how the truck runs when you are done. It will make all the blood, sweat, and tears worthwhile.
