Default RPM gauge install

yesterday I attemped to install a replacement dash that I got from a guy for $20. Dash was in great shape and he did not want it so he sold it to me. He also gave me a gauge cluster that had a RPM gauge on it which mine did not come with one. I did a shearch on the suite and I saw a guy that had done a derict swap and said it would work but on my gauge there is a small connector on the back of the RPM gauge that needs to be connected for it to work. I cannot find that wireing in my 96. My question is did the wiring come already wired in a 96 3/4 ton or it did not. I know the rest of the gauges work and the RPM gauge gets power to it since when I start the truck the gauge moves to Zero. Any help would be appriciated.

I suggest you download the FSM from the FAQ section. It has wiring diagrams.
