He has supporting mods with the heads and cam.. an M1 on an internally stock engine will drown it with air. If you have an engine capable of breathing like his, an M1 is the better choice based on price and performance.. if its primarily just bolt ons, a nodded keg or air gap is the way to go.

It seems like most of the dyno tests between the M1 and Air Gap I have seen is done on mostly stock engines and that is when the Air Gap shines. I have read about one dyno test where the M1 and the AirGap were nearly identicle (http://www.bionicdodge.com/bionic/in...p?topic=6440.0 )and that was on a cammed engine. I have seen a dyno(http://www.delmarvadodge.com/profile...shootout)where the truck was supercharged and they had disconnected the super charger for the test, but they never said how the engine was built. Looking at the power output it may had a mostly stock setup due to running the super charger for the power. (The air gap was the winner, but also I noticed the place that did the test sells them.) ( http://www.delmarvadodge.com/profile...-amp-sct-combo) . I would get a air gap without hesitation if the cam and heads were smaller, but like everyone has said, I really need more air...

Well, I have found one used and I installed the M1 intake. When I first backed out in the road and then took off it felt so weak!! I was thinking, oh well I can just resale it.

But...after driving the truck for a few miles and the computer figured out what was going on the power starting picking up big time! Now, I can say this was a good investment!! Very little change (drop) in off the line power when you initially take off, but it doesn't take but a second to get in the power range of the intake and it really takes off! Much better than the kegger. Throttle response is awesome as well(the intake has a turtle). When you are getting on the gas you can really hear the intake moan. It just has a different sound than the kegger.

It still needs a tune from Hemifever in order to get everything perfect. I dont have a wideband a/f gauge, so I either need to get one $$ or get another dyno. My tv cable is a little out of adjustment as well. Once I get these issues worked out, it should feel even stronger!!
