Default Clicking sound from front brakes

I am hearing a clicking sound when I put my foot down on the brake. Just a single metallic click.
Here are the steps of hearing the clicking sound (only happens when I am getting out of a parking spot in reverse, so the truck has been sitting):
1. Put the car from park to reverse
2. let my foot off the brake
3. Put my foot on the brake CLICK
does not happen until the next day after the truck has been sitting.

It seems like the pad is slamming onto the rotor. Can something be wrong with the caliper? Like a binding that makes it just slam on the rotor?

Anyone else have this? I have no problems braking. But I do notice a lot of brake dust on the right front wheel as opposed to the left front wheel.

I also might just be paranoid. I brought it to a mechanic and he said it could be the calipers. he said that they are so cheap that I should just buy a set and install them.

Not something I would worry about, or pay someone to fix,(or even look at). When it sits, rust builds on the rotor and it's most likely just the pads shifting a little bit.

Thanks, I just seem to be paranoid these days.

However, i do want to get those stainless steel/kevlar brake lines(hoses). 10 year old truck probably could use new hoses.

The clicking, could be and probably is from the rear anyway. When it sits a while, do the the rear brakes like to lock up at first?
