I checked the plugs and wires today there originals from 2000 the guy never changed them that I bought it from.Mopar wires and champion plugs I can just tell buy looking at them. I will be changing them out along with new cap and rotor and take it from there knock on wood!I agree don't jump to conclusions yet.

There is a TSB in the DIY section about routing the plug wires. It appears that these are pretty sensitive about crossfiring. That may save you some trouble.

^ i thought he asked about torque converter replacement. trans removal is required for that.

as you said, solenoids and pressure sensor are easy. but those are generally related to shifting problems, not start off problems or shaking or shuddering.

There is no such procedure as a "tune up" for these trucks!
