Question truck hesitated to move why?

I was at a stop sign tonight and I stepped on the gas kinda hard from a dead stop and the truck hesitated to move and the front of the truck shook.whats up with that?I havent owned the truck more than a month and im wondering if this sounds like it needs a tuna up before I go buy everything.I couldnt get it to do it again but it was really odd.you think if it is a tune up i should start with new plugs and wires or what more?need info thanks

Transmission issues. I bet the torque converter is slipping.

If the torque converter fails, it likes to distribute little bits and pieces of itself throughout the transmission, so, simply replacing it is like putting a bandaid on a sliced artery. Not only will you STILL have to rebuild the trans, but, you will get to replace the t/c again, as you can never clean them out completely, and re-using your new one will just wipe your trans again within weeks. Not a good plan.

It could also just be some solenoids going bad..... check those first.

Without googling it, is that easy enough for most anyone who knows how to change the transmission fluid?

^no. you have to remove the transmission (or engine).

don't jump to conclusions. hesitation and shaking can be as simple as a tuneup.

I've done a tuneup..... But I lost my mind and have been checking my transmission fluid with it on in park. It's been a little low for a bout a month now but it seemed to have made it better.

No, no, no.
Wrong procedure.
You get the engine and transmission up to operating temperature, cycle it through all the gears pausing for approx. 30 seconds in each, then you drop it into neutral, and THEN you read the fluid.
If you have to add more fluid, wait at least 10 minutes for all fluid to drain back into the trans, if need be drive a little bit to warm everything back up, repeat the first steps, re-check the fluid.

Sometimes transmission hesitation is caused by low fluid. Checking the fluid is the first step in diagnosing this mess.

You do not have to pull trans to change governor solenoid or pressure sensor. You do have to dran and remove pan (usually taking a bath in ATF - good time to install drain plug).

I would go to DIY section and download a manual and do some reading before I would spend a lot of money just changing things. But if it is trans, don't take the cheap route. As HeyYou stated, "bits of itself all over..."
