I recently sold a new set of aam power wagon diff's that were going into my truck but things changed. So on the back diff you will need to change the spring pads, shock mounts, and figure out a way to hook up the e brake cables(get those as well), 17" wheels are a must to fit over the rear disc brakes. Driveshafts will have to be modded. As for the front end just compare all the parts for length, and bolt size. I was also considering changing the master cyld and the portioning valve as well, ABS might be an issue.
Thanks merc225, my friend has a set of factory 3rd gen cummins rims hes been tryin to give away.
I was thinking of bringing both shafts to a axle shaft shop, not sure of the price on that.
As far as the brakes, I think ill go and purchase the axles first, and see what things look like.
Your welcome. Get the e tracs as well, they should be geared 4.56 if out of a power wagon. Those diff's new are over $3500 each. I would guess $100 per shaft to change the one end and balance it
If you're planning on running large tires, just know the lowest gear set you can get is 4.56. When I was looking to upgrade, I had to pass on a pair because of that fact.
Well I stole some hinges from my brothers parts truck, they work but now I have a white truck witk rhino lined rockers, primer black hood and flame red hinges!
