Welcome to DF

What are you using for a tool to get them out? You need a balljoint removal tool as seen below. It will take some muscle and that tool to get them out.

Ya you need it, make sure all the adapters are in the kit. You doing all four or just two? Some say you can rent that tool; not to sure on that you might look into it.

I have had that tool for a couple of decades and will not be without one. Depending on what size tires you are using you could be doing balljoints and hubs every two years or less. It's a couple of hun up here for that tool but a good investment.

Thats not a very big tire so parts will last you a long time. 35 and up tires and they eat parts.

Well then there are a couple of whys to go about your parts, buy the ones with lifetime warranty and change them out as they fail or get the 2 year warranty parts and just change them once a year. Every fall I replace all the balljoints and hubs under parts warranty, but thats me.
