Default No Intstrument Cluster Light

Searched this and only found topics on LED installs.

So here goes, start up the truck today. It's raining so I cut my lights on.

I scream in disbelief as my instrument cluster doesn't light up. Play with dimness switch incase it was off. That wasn't it.

Have to cut the cabin light on to see my speed.

The e-brake, and warning lights still light up.

Later today put new fuse in as old one was blown. Promptly blow the new fuse. So now I pull the cluster and check the bulbs, they all look good to me.

Now the fuse isn't blown but I still have no lights on the cluster, speedometer, tachometer, oil pressure, temp gauge and volt meter.

The odometer still works

All my other lights and electrical appliances work.

In stumped? Where do I look now? 5.9 Magnum 2001 1500 if it helps

Start by rechecking the wiring you did. Find out why it was blowing fuses in the first place. Are all the grounds good and clean?

I haven't done any wiring to it. It's all factory. Im thinking it's in the switch somewhere

Check the wiring at the back of the headlight switch. They are pretty famous for melting things back there.

I just replaced my headlight switch 2 days ago. Went to leave Harbor Freight at night and no headlights. Switch had melted. After a nice 3 mile walk in the rain to Advance Auto went on my merry way . They say almost every time I call "would you like us to deliver your parts" but couldn't deliver the only time I needed them to!!! lol
