Default Open Headers Performance questions

I have my exhaust going true duals at 45 degrees out the back end off my headers. now if i cut the two mufflers i have on there off what kinda performance would i loose from running just straight headers? any opinions will help. thanks

Im runnin open long tubes and my power is ****ty till 2.5k rpms then its like flipin a switch



Edit: o you have shoorties, power will be way differnt than with long tubes

on top of that valves dont like no backpressure

so what kinda performace loss would i see if i did this with my shorty headers?

Why would you want to? You won't be able to pass a cop without getting a ticket. It will be so loud, that conversation in the truck, even at idle, will be difficult to impossible, with the exhaust dumping IN the engine compartment, you can bet it's going to find it's way into the cab....... bad for you, and anyone else in the truck, bad for everyone else on the road near you, as when you pass out from oxygen deprivation, your truck is still gonna be rollin'..... Not to mention the possible mechanical issues you will experience, burnt valves springs immediately to mind....

Open headers on a street driven vehicle is just a bad plan. (not to mention illegal.)
