I agree with hammer. I used to bit them years ago but I've never had one last more than around 4 years or so. I will never buy one again. the warranty is 3 years only that's it. If I were you I would do what you want to the truck and then see how it is. If the alt can't keep up with running the accessories just get a bigger one. When I put a big stereo in my cars and the headlights dim when the bass hits ya know you need a bigger alt. I've got a 230 amp in my blazer I got off eBay from db electrical. Works great. Upgrading the wiring alone will help quite a bit also.
