The PROBLEM is that the hinge puns change in 1998... 98-01 is different, and those directions are for 98.

I found some directions online http://www.ehow.com/how_6540090_repl...inge-pins.html but I freaking WAILED on them and couldnt get them to budge.

I've done all the work myself, heck am I going to take it to a shop for this, but I think I may be getting to that point.

Can I use a saws-all and cut them in the middle and pop 'em out both sides? Or do I have to take the hinges off and take apart the doors? They don't have the springs that other people have referred to, and the new ones have clips.

When I install the new ones, do I do top clip up bottom clip down, or both clips down? I think I'm getting even MORE frustrated because it seems like such a stupid little easy thing that I feel stupid for having trouble doing this.
You are right, I used my 1/4" angled die grinder. PITA to get the old pins out.

I didnt want to use the grinder because then I'm going to strip the hinge paint, and then I'll be complaining about my hinges rusting out.

I'll use the saws-all in a few minutes.

New ones I was just going to throw some bearing grease between the hinge pins and the new bushings. Anyone have a different recommendation?

Thank you two for your thoughts, and i'll now appologize for acting like a little baby about this project.

This is kind of embarassing but... I failed.

You can see I tried to cut it with a saws-all. it went right through my blades. Hardened steel? I dont have a die grinder and my 4" grinder is too wide...

SO I opted to do it the ghetto way. I used washers. It works perfectly. My door closes right now and I dont get wind on the highway. ghetto, but as I said... it worked?

I also re-welded the cracked parts of the door:

And now the door works perfectly...

At some point I'll still have to fix the door, but I guess this works for now.
