Just get this http://www.magnaflow.com/02catalytic...niversal=94047

$80 on Ebay and you don't need a Y pipe to go with it. Any muffler dude who can't make this work like you want it doesn't deserve to be in business.

Tomorrow im going to get my exhaust put on. I already have aftermarket y pipe and cat. I have (2) super 44's and (2) 5''x18'' tips i am getting it out at 45's 2.5'' pipe i will post a video of it sometime in a week on YouTube and post the link. Personally i love the sound of the super 44's my uncle has tru duals with them on his ford and it sounds great! Don't ever go with a cheap cat he did and now there's a piece of it in his cat somewhere in the exhaust rattling.

I figured it would be less expensive ($250 for the ypipe+cat and self install) to buy the y-pipe, than to have someone make one and set it up for me. I didn't want a new cat to be attached to my rusty stock y-pipe if that's what you're getting at...

If you sent yours to get the exhaust done at a shop how much was it?

With the 2in X 1out cat you wouldn't need the stock y pipe or any y pipe cause the cat IS the y pipe. You could just cut off the stock y pipe and weld the cat in its place to the stock mid pipes. Kill two birds with one stone and avoid the extra cost and hassle of adding the y pipe.

I think my muffler dude did mine all up for 80 bucks or so if I recall but I had all the parts except some 3" pipe he had to supply for me. Its a pretty easy job for a tooled up muffler dude especially if you dump it in front of the rear tire.

Ah, I see how that works now... Yeah I probably shoulda done it that way but whatever.

Edit: I just looked around on summitracing, jegs, ebay, etc. for magnaflows that would fit my truck (2" dual inlet/2.5"single outlet/49 state) and the only one that I could find was $300...Unless the cat you linked to me is universal/would fit my ram?

Yep, universal. Like I'm using. For some reason they cost less.

Here is a dual2" in by single 2.5" out I'm seeing as low as $130 new on ebay. http://www.magnaflow.com/02catalytic...niversal=93537

Just do an ebay search for the Magnaflow part #. In this case "93537".
