Default oil pan gasket

hey guys i did a quick search, but didnt find anything. are the oil pan gaskets on our truck reusable? im going to be cleaning out my oil pan and replacing the pickup screen due to pressure problems.

They are like 20 bucks or so at the parts store. Just get a new one.

33 at advance, thats why i was asking. didnt feel like paying over 30 bucks for 1 gasket

But, but, but..... its a NICE gasket. Some rubbery kind of stuff, with metal reinforcements. Obviously a quality piece (made in china...) that is well worth the 200 dollars the dealership wants for it...... [/sarcasm]

If you DON'T change it, you might get to do the job again...... I replaced mine the first time I dropped the pan, but, didn't the next time. The new style gaskets are kinda sorta re-usable, but, if yours has been in there for a while, don't expect it to come off in one piece......

is the 5.2 oil pan gasket and the 5.9 gasket different then?

5.2 and 5.9 oil pan gaskets have different part numbers. i thought the blocks were the same?
