What is the best tuner for our trucks and do any of them actually help you get better mpg ?

I have a 96 ram 1500

sct by hemifever. i currently have a superchips but when i get done modding my motor ill be gettin a custom sct from hemifever
edit: youll have to get a mopar performance pcm, OBD1 cant use a programmer

Not trying to be a jerk here, but this is the best way to find information about tuners.

So what is the best performance PCM and how will it effect my mpg and will I still be able to use 87 oct ?

Look in DIY section for discussions on this. It appears to be a matter of personal preference. There isn't a difinitive answer. May depend on how you use your truck, etc. I followed numerous discussions and settled on SCT from Hemifever, partially based on customer service. Call and talk to Sean.
