why does the check engine light...
Hello all...in my 95 1500 5.9 in the past month 'Ive only owned it for 2' the c/e light has came on twicw first time it came on we hooked it up&got a code 37,high electruc@trans temp sensor&one for the egr valve.Once I started her back up they were gone. Then the othet day about a week after the first time it came back on,I got home turned her off then started her back up &the c/e light was gone again&hasnt came back.ANy ideas? Also I have the 'wild vents' don't know if that could have anything to do with it kr not?
wild vents, and cruise issues are most likely vacuum leaks somewhere.. find 'em, fix 'em, and that will likely take care of your cruise- and your wild vents...
the CEL for the tranny is likely just what it says: it's getting hot.. that is really bad.. it won't come back on when it cools.. the EGR is over my head.. I've no experience with those..

Have a look at the lower fitting for the trans cooler at the radiator, follow it back, there will be a coupler where it turns to a soft line, follow it further, and there is a metal fitting, and adapter of sorts, and then a flare nut. The metal fitting is the check valve. They like to get plugged up with tranny crap, and then NO fluid flows, and the trans overheats.
Ok so....I dont have all of my hearing, but my girl pointed out while the truck was running that there Was an electrical a electrical buzzing noise coming from down by my tranny tgen I heard it to,could the sensor be doing that?Im gonna get under there in a bit.
