wild vents, and cruise issues are most likely vacuum leaks somewhere.. find 'em, fix 'em, and that will likely take care of your cruise- and your wild vents...

the CEL for the tranny is likely just what it says: it's getting hot.. that is really bad.. it won't come back on when it cools.. the EGR is over my head.. I've no experience with those..

Still have the check valve in the trans line to the radiator? If so, get rid of it.

Otherwise, you may have a failing sensor......

Have a look at the lower fitting for the trans cooler at the radiator, follow it back, there will be a coupler where it turns to a soft line, follow it further, and there is a metal fitting, and adapter of sorts, and then a flare nut. The metal fitting is the check valve. They like to get plugged up with tranny crap, and then NO fluid flows, and the trans overheats.

Theres a TSB for the trans overheating. If you have the tow pack and have the temp sender, replace it. If no tow pack, there is no sender, resetting pcm is suppose to get rid of the cel.
