what spark plugs should I get?

ok well i cant get 3 spark plugs out for some reason there stuck in. i used wd40 they wont come out.And the one plug I got out is like a light gray color at the tip what does that mean?how can I get out these darn plugs I checked the gap on a few I got out and the guy I bought the truck from didnt set the gaps there all off.by the way im using the champs what the truck calls for.need info thanks guys.

just wondering does anyone make a spark plug socket that has that little hole so it locks onto the wrench?the socket keeps coming off on me in the heat sheild then i have to use needle nose pliers to get it out,grrrrrrrrrr

go to wal mart and buy the 5/8 spark plug socket and buy some extentions to make it easyier the back driver side is the hardest

Try a penetrating oil instead of a water displacer and you might have better luck.

Get ride of those heat Shields with a pair of vise grips, then clean all the junk away from the plugs. Don't forget to use some Dielectric grease on the wire ends.

that is exactly what i was thinking. wd40 is pretty useless when working on a vehicle. i used liquid wrench penetrating oil on the exhaust manifold bolt for about a week before trying to remove them and i got them all out fairly easily.

Also, warming the motor up usually helps break them free.

you really think its ok to break off the heat shields?just wondering I mean why are they there in the first place?

i think they are there to try to keep dirt out of the cylinders.

All they do is collect dirt, small stones and if you don't blow out the heat shields with compressed air, when you take out your spark plugs all that dirt goes into the cyld. So it's much easier to maintain the spark plug area without the heat shield's there.
