Default 1998 Ram cheap way to get 2"-4" lift HELP

Recently got a 98 Ram 1500 with 2500 driveterrain, it's 5.2 v8 magnum 4x4. Is there any other option besides the leveling kit that is cheap efficient way to lift it? I would really like more than 2" lift which I see is max for leveling kits. Any help will be greatly appreciated

If you want to play, you have to pay, unfortunately. Cheap and good are two words that rarely go together when it comes to lift kits.

You could shop around and/or wait for someone to sell their used kit. Many guys buy a lift kit, then want to go even higher later, so they sell their old kit.

That is very understandable, however I am not a diehard truck enthusiast, and only bought it to drive it during winter while storing my "daily" . So looking for a kit that would just look slightly taller than stock, not skyjacking it

How do you use your truck? The cheapest way is a 3" body lift. 3" and up for suspension lift needs lots more parts than just spacers, drop pitman arm, longer control arms, rear add a leaf, track bar bracket or a new adjustable one.

Check out the link below for lift kits

yoiu will be extremely happy with that height in the snow. my 2001 has only the stock "offroad package" lift and it is about 2 inches. Good height for if you are parked in a parking lot on a day it had been snowing ALL DAY to the tune of 2-3 feet. Just fired her up, listened to a tune ebfore she got warm and drove it in 4WD as easily as if there were no snow.

2.5 is plenty for what you are saying.
