Default Do I need a tensioner on timing set replacement?

I have a 2001 w/360 and I'm going to replace my timing set next week with the Cyoles C3072. I know there is a tensioner in there now. Do I need to replace it? I have read through dozens of posts and have not seen much mention of the tensioner being replaced?

There's not a factory tensioner but there is an aftermarket one you can buy.

That is a Morse style chain. Tensioner is made for double roller chain set. I don't know about using it on a Morse.

your stock chain does not have a tensioner.
the new chain does not need a tensioner either.

I just did my 360, there's no tensioner. I think the tensioner is for the 318.

Tensioner did not come on stock 318 (not in 99 anyway). Dodge dealer doesn't show it in parts. Stock is a Morse chain and sprocket set.

Mopar Performance do have this for 5.2 and 5.9 for the double roller chain.

My bad, you are correct I do not have a tensioner and the correct CLOYES Part #C3028X. Unless someone can recommend a different one.

Thanks.
