Plenum gasket replaced?
I just bought my '99 ram QC 4x4 about 3 weeks ago, still warranty. I had to bring it back to the dealer to get the plenum gasket replaced. I have a hard time trusting used car dealerships. So when i go to pick it up, what should i look for under the hood? To be replaced it needs new botls right? And, should i change the oil to make sure the didn't put any additive in it to make it not smoke?
Thanks
Thanks
how much did the dealer charge you do change the gaskets?
to my knowledge I don't think the need new bolts, but the are will be clean because they have to use cleaner on the throttle body.

yes, you will need new bolts top and bottom... the intake manifold bolts and the plenum plate bolts are not re-useable. You can check to see if it's been replaced by lookin down the throttle body at the bottom of the intake manifold. there's a pic of the plenum in the DIY forum that you can use for reference. the swap is easy, just time consuming...
