Default this is crazy

i had a weird problem truck kept loosing power cutting off when u come to a stop so what i found that after market ckp sensor is no the same as dealer its a1/16 longer or more give or take so i took the atfer market one out and found it was bent at the metal part and the bottom of the ckp was eaten off and also the side weird i put the dealer one in and it shorter than the after market one why is that but it solved my problem so thanks to all the threads and help u all given me

And for reference, as I checked this today, the sensor sees the square holes punched in the flange on the flex plate. I believe I have seen postings referencing it picking up flywheel. I used two mirrors to look into the hole.
