Coolant Issue

Default Coolant Issue

Replaced the thermostat, thermostat housing and gasket. Filled the overflow reservoir and started the truck. Noticed water dripping immediately when i started the truck. Replaced the Water pump about 36000 miles ago.



Dodge Ram 1500
5.2 V8
237000 miles

Where is the water dripping from? When you did the water pump, did you replace the bypass hose?

Could be the timing cover gasket behind the water pump, happend to me recently. Thought it was the water pump and turned out to be timing cover gasket
