No prob. 1" is right. I have 3 of them from when I tried the 14x3 on my 98. Just measured the one I took off.

K&n filter made a noticeable difference in power when I switch out the paper one

I have been running the 14x3 with a K&N for a while now...which reminds me, I really need to clean my K&N soon.

Just don't bend it the wrong direction, or you will be screwed. I included a pic to show you what NOT to do.

thanks for the pic, i decided just to buy one already bent from autozone,
