P0505 Error Code and Fuel Gauge
Ok, so Friday when I got into my truck I could tell the Battery was dying I also notice the overhead read CCd on the DTE Screen.
That night the battery died, Bought new battery and installed it.
The next morning started truck ok and drove down the road. Less than a mile away, my gas gauge dropped to empty and the overhead reads SC. Also, my RPM's will not go below 1200-1300, and are slow to come down when letting off the gas. And the Check Engine Light is on.
Took it to autozone, the read a P0505 error. I came home read up and did the following:
1. cleaned the thruttle Body, including the IAC valve. No Change
2. While running disconnected the IAC connection. No Change
I am really confused, any help...

Welcome to DF.
First, before anything else, please read this:

I will move this to the 2nd gen section for ya. I am not sure about the gauge and overhead, but the RPMs is definitely the IAC, as P0505 points at. It needs to be replaced. It helps control the air at idle, and if you remove it and your RPMs don't change, thats a sign its bad. If it was good, removing it should make the idle go way up, or may even cause the truck to hesitate or die.
