Default 1994 RAM 1500 4x4 wiper problems

I have a 94 ram 4x4 when I got it the delay and low didnt work only high. after a few weeks I had to help the wipers move sometimes other times they would work on high fine then they quit compleatly, then worked even delay, then they quit moving...I replaced the motor with the arms off it worked however in delay the motor acts like its in low no delay. it works in low and high also but as soon as I put arms on it dosent seem to have enough power to move the arms. So I have a new motor and the arms only move when I help them and in delay th move like in low

Sounds like a wiring issue probably at the switch, I would think the switch itself.

Remove the covers from the steering column and check the wire's and the electrical plug(s) on the back of the multi function switch.

Bad wiper motor? Wrong part? Not sure delay wipers was standard on these trucks.... and it's not like I never got a bad part right out of the box......

Reason I say the switch is in my 98 and my dads 94 if you don't get the switch all the way to the next setting the wipers literally stop in the middle of the windshield until you turn em off and back on. I think they are problematic to begin with. Also I work at an emissions testing place for the state and I see our rams all day long with the exact same problems over and over lol.

I found out the problem. The new motor I bought didnt have a tab to plug the ground wire into the guy at the parts store told me it grounds itself when you mount it since it was getting power I figured it was ok. When I went back to get the switch I talked to another salesman he told me to try cutting the wire attach a round wire connector to it back out one of the screws on the motor and ground it to the motor. It now works like it should. once again thanks for the input!
