Default tranny

So i had just bought a 2nd gen ram 1500 after my jeep got totaled. I got the truck from a friend and while driving on the interstate i noticed the transmission slipping, my question is how much would it cost to have the current transmission rebuilt or to buy a rebuilt one. Also i noticed the transmission dip stick is no longer attached to the transmission itself??? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'd get a new tube from the JY and check the fluid level. I also wouldn't wait. More damage is being done. Not to mention all the crap getting in the tranny. You probably should change the fluid and filter.
