If it's a Sport model I'd say it would have some lift but I'm not 100% sure about that. Are you sure it wasn't a lift they put on? $2500 is probably a good place to start.

I learned a long time ago on here(DF) , that a Sport model has no lift. Only the Off Road edition does.

Well then if the truck he wants to buy has a lift then the previous owner's lifted it. And I just learned something new

If its a 2500 2wd it will sit higher, but i don't think those came with a 5.2 so im probably just wasting computer generated ink.

I was there the day they brought it home new from the dealer. It has always sat high like the 4x4s.

Possibly a dealer installed lift?

I wouldn't think so. What you could get that might help a little is the build sheet from Dodge.

http://www.dodge.com/wccsapp/univers...ull&category=U

You need the last 8 of the truck's VIN and put Requesting a Build Sheet in the subject box. Takes a few days usually.

Nevermind, I'm smokin' crack. Just drove by and saw it in the driveway.

This is pretty much the same truck. For some reason I thought it sat higher. To me though, it sits higher than the other 2WD trucks.

You can still get a build sheet and check out what options it came with.

5.2s generally get a little better gas mileage, but don't expect to ever get good gas mileage in a dodge ram.

The 5.2s and 5.9s are pretty much invincible, they have their little problems, like the plenum. Aside from that you can always count on it.

Not a HUGE difference between the 5.2 and 5.9. The 5.2s are sound more "throaty" with dual exhaust.

And the trannys, as previously stated, will go out on you so be prepared for that.

Aside from that these things go to hell and back.
