Hey does anyone know what is the precentage of the factory privacy tint on the rear windows? Is it 35%? And has anyone ever tried the DIY blackmagic tint? Thanks

 

I cant remember the brand of tint i used on my truck but its just a little darker than the back and side windows

 

The blackmagic tint is not that bad I made it alot easier on myself by taking my windows out on my old truck can't afford to do it to this one yet.

 

agree its alot easier to remove the windows to do the tint.. i tried it with the windows in and it did not work. So i just took them out and did them

I think that would depend on the state to be honest because here in tn anything on the front windows darker than 35 is ilegal. Granted u can get away with it as long as you stay away from profilers lol I had 5 on my old truck but I know most of the cops where I live

 

OP, are you asking about the back glass facing the bed, or the rear windows that would be in a crew cab?

Back glass is really dark on my truck, but it might be a state to state thing.

 

I got 5% all the way around except the winsheild of course looks sharp but a pain to see are night I think 35% is legal

 

OP asked what the factory tint % is on back windows, I believe it's 20%

 

A friend that works at a local glass shop looked at mine and said it looked like 20. My Ram does not have aftermarket tint.

And tint is a stat to state thing. I will tint mine when I get around to doing body work, and will probably pull glass as recommended here.
