Default my seatbelts are locked up

Yesterday i had to take my front seats out so i could remove my carpet, and now my seatbelts are locked up. Any ideas on what could cause this? And i dont have acess to a FSM till tomorrow.

Found this on another forum..

"In their infinite wisdom dodge used an electronic system to lock the seatbelt during a collision or pretty much any pothole. The system is constantly using power so to keep the batteries from running down there is a 30 minute timmer that starts after you shut the truck off. To send power to the system to unlock the belts you only need to open the door ... unless your door switch that kicks on the dome light is broken .. then open the passenger door.

Give that a try .. drove me crazy until I realized the belts unlocked after I opened the passenger door. "

"found the black box under the seat that all the seat belt wiring goes to and it had fallin out of its tray. Put it back in and it works again"

"This happened to me in my 98.5 when I put seat covers on. For me a quick turn of the key released them."

If i cant get them to unlock then im gonna use this as a chance to go to 4point harnesses. So does anyone have a link to decent quality harnesses for a good price? Ive found a couple but i want advice from those that have run a set themselves

Did you try to disconnect battery for a little bit and then hook back up? I would think it has to be the black box thing. Might check the wiring and make sure connectors are tight.

had to take seatbelts out of a jeep wrangler not to long ago. They locked up couldnt get them to open. What i found out was that they have to be perfectly level up and down for you to pull them out.
