Don't bother putting anything in your oil pan, besides oil. You may actually be doing more harm than good.

If your oil pressure makes you nervous, replace the pump with a high volume unit. While you are in there, you can clean things out nicely. Pumps run around 50 or so, gasket is around 20-25. (don't forget oil and filter) Takes about two hours to do in the driveway. If you have a GOOD torque wrench, do the rear main seal as well. Another 10 to 15 bucks.

My gauge reads right around 40. Doesn't matter what the engine is doing, or temp either for that matter. The stock gauge just sucks. For a while there, the low pressure lite would come on, but, the gauge itself would STILL be reading about 40 pounds. Tested with a mechanical gauge.... decided to install the high volume pump.

Mine does it but only after turn off the truck and letting it build up a little heat in the engine with it not running; sending unit/gauge sucks..
